A Driver Claims He's Been Too Busy to Renew His Registration . . . That Expired in 1997

This guy's either a liar or the busiest person on the planet . . .

A cop near New Orleans pulled a guy over the other day for driving with expired plates.  And he tried to claim it just slipped his mind, because he's been so busy lately.

That excuse might work sometimes.  But not in this guy's case . . . because his registration expired 23 YEARS ago.

Police posted a photo of the license plate on Facebook.  And the sticker expired in September of 1997.

It's possible he was using old plates that weren't supposed to be on his car in the first place.  Because the Facebook post mentioned people who like to "switch tags."

Either way, he needed a better excuse.  There's no word yet on what, if any, charges he's facing.
