It seems Luca Guadagnino's Artificial is being eyed to be released by Neon.

Deadline reports that Neon is in talks to pick up the film after Amazon MGM Studios decided it would no longer release it.

Neon did not immediately respond to ABC Audio's request for confirmation.

Amazon MGM Studios confirmed to ABC Audio it would no longer release Artificial in a statement shared on June 19.

"We have the utmost respect and admiration for Luca Guadagnino as an award-winning filmmaker – not to mention a longstanding relationship that we hope to continue," an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement at the time. "We believe that Artificial will be better served if it were released by a different studio and are working closely with the filmmaking team to find the film a new home."

Artificial is described as a comedic drama about the world of artificial intelligence. It explores Sam Altman's OpenAI during a period in 2023 when Altman was fired and rehired in a matter of days. It is directed by Guadagnino from a script by Saturday Night Live alum Simon Rich.

The film's cast includes Mark Rylance, Andrew Garfield, Yura Borisov, Monica Barbaro, Billie Lourd, Jason Schwartzman, Cooper Koch, Cooper Hoffman and Ike Barinholtz.

It would have reunited Guadagnino and Amazon MGM Studios after he directed the 2024 film Challengers for the studio, as well as 2025's After the Hunt.

Dylan O'Brien may just make his return to the small screen.

The actor is set to lead the Hulu comedy pilot Lex, Deadline reports. This would mark his first series role since he starred as Stiles on MTV’s Teen Wolf.

ABC Audio has reached out to Hulu for confirmation.

Lex follows the titular disgraced former reality star (O'Brien), who accidentally films a murder while making a $20 Cameo video. This finds Lex at the center of a global conspiracy and forces him to go on the run.

"Using the skills he acquired navigating reality TV’s toxic social dynamics, Lex must fight to not get killed, to expose the truth, and most importantly… to get back on TV," according to a description from the outlet.

In addition to starring in Lex, O'Brien will executive produce the pilot. He will do so alongside its writer, Sean Clements, as well as Paul Simms.

Blake Lively seeking nearly $7.5 million in attorneys' fees from Justin Baldoni

Attorneys for Blake Lively said in a court filing Monday that Justin Baldoni's production company, Wayfarer Studios, owes the actress $7,495,526.87 in attorneys fees connected to the studio's defamation lawsuit against her, which was dismissed in June last year.

According to court documents, which were filed in a federal district court in the Southern District of New York, Lively is also seeking $539,514.01 in costs and expenses incurred in relation to the dismissed defamation case.

The filing comes two weeks after U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman denied Lively's claim for punitive damages against Baldoni and Wayfarer but allowed the actress to seek attorneys' fees under California Civil Code Section 47.1, a law designed to protect anyone who reports sexual assault, harassment or discrimination from retaliatory defamation lawsuits.

Esra Hudson, one of Lively's lead attorneys in the case, wrote in Monday's court filing that fees for her work on the case were discounted from her standard rate of $1,430.00 per an hour to $1,161 to $1,287 per hour over the course of the litigation.

Co-lead trial counsel Michael Gottlieb charged an average hourly rate of $2,187, according to the filing.

ABC News has reached out to representatives for Baldoni for comment.

In a statement to ABC News on Tuesday, Lively's attorneys, Gottlieb and Hudson, said, "Thanks to this landmark decision, those considering using a lawsuit as a weapon of intimidation have been put on notice that there are consequences for doing so. The value of this ruling is in the precedent it creates, the accountability it imposes, and the protection it provides to those who may one day find themselves facing similar retaliation for speaking the truth."

Monday's filing is the latest in a long-running legal dispute between the former It Ends with Us co-stars, who first became embroiled in December 2024, when Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department accusing him of sexual harassment on the set of the film, which he also directed. Lively also accused Baldoni and his production company of attempting to orchestrate a smear campaign against her, allegations Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios have vehemently denied.

The two subsequently launched dueling lawsuits against one another in the months that followed, with Baldoni accusing Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, the couple's publicist Leslie Sloane, and others of extortion and defamation, among other things. The lawsuits were consolidated into one suit in January 2025.

Baldoni's lawsuit was ultimately dismissed by Liman in June 2025. The judge later gutted much of Lively's case against Baldoni in April of this year, including claims she was subjected to sexual harassment on set, determining that she could continue to pursue her claims of retaliation against Baldoni's public relations team.

Baldoni, via his Wayfarer production company, and Lively agreed to settle their ongoing dispute in May this year. Liman ruled at the time that Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios must pay Lively's attorneys' fees but denied Lively's claim for punitive damages.

The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Joe and Fran in Illumination's 'Not Alone,' directed by Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson and Jonathan Del Val. (Illumination, Universal Pictures)

Selena Gomez and Timothée Chalamet — or at least their voices — co-star in the upcoming animated film Not Alone. On Tuesday Selena posted a trailer for the film on Instagram, so you can see what their characters look like.

As previously reported, Timothée plays an introverted rocket mechanic named Joe, who meets Selena's character, Fran, a "brilliant astro-botanist" who's created a rocket that runs on plant-based fuel. Things get complicated when three aliens plot to commandeer Fran's rocket to return to their home planet.

In the trailer, set to David Bowie's classic "A Space Oddity," Joe and Fran meet while working on the rocket and start a romance, which thrills them both — until the aliens, who all have British accents for some reason, show up.

This is the second time the two have co-starred in a film; the first time was in 2020's A Rainy Day in New York.

Not Alone arrives in theaters in April 2027. It's from the same studio that brought you the Despicable Me, Minions and Super Mario Brothers movies.

Amanda Batula is saying goodbye to Summer House.

The reality TV star is exiting the Bravo series and will not appear in its upcoming season 11 after nine seasons as a full-time cast member, according to Deadline.

ABC Audio has reached out to Bravo for confirmation.

The 10th season of Summer House captured the zeitgeist due to a scandal that has been given the colloquial name "Scamanda."

After months of rumors, Batula and West Wilson confirmed they are in a relationship in posts made to Instagram on March 31. Batula is married to Summer House cast member Kyle Cooke, although they are divorcing. Wilson is fellow Summer House star Ciara Miller's ex-boyfriend, and Batula was considered one of Miller's close friends.

Wilson will also not return to Summer House for season 11, according to the outlet.

Although Batula is exiting Summer House, that doesn't mean she's fully out of the Bravo-verse quite yet. She currently stars in the Summer House spinoff series In the City. That show has yet to be picked up for a season 2.

'Michael' (Courtesy of Lionsgate)

The Michael Jackson movie has moonwalked into the record books once again.

Michael has taken in $977 million worldwide. That surpasses the Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer, which raked in $975 million globally. Michael had already become the highest-grossing musical biopic of all time, out-earning the Queen movie Bohemian Rhapsody — but now it's tops among all biographical films.

Michael opened in April with an impressive $217 million globally. As per Variety, it's now become Lionsgate's biggest movie of all time, surpassing 2013's The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which earned $865 million.

Lionsgate is reportedly planning on at least one more movie about Jackson's life, since Michael ends in 1988. The King of Pop died in June 2009.

Extended edition of 'Backrooms' headed to movie theaters

Chiwetel Ejiofor in 'Backrooms.' (A24)

Backrooms hasn't even left movie theaters yet, but a new version of the film will soon be available to watch on the big screen.

A24 is set to release Backrooms: Everything Must Go Edition to theaters on July 3. The film, which was directed by Kane Parsons, is the studio's highest-grossing in history. It has already brought in over $330 million worldwide after it was produced for only $10 million.

A spokesperson for A24 did not immediately respond to ABC Audio's request for comment.

AMC Theatres shared a listing for the new version of the film on Monday. According to the exhibitor, this version of the film "includes 15 minutes of new, theatrically exclusive post-credit bonus footage from Kane Parsons." It runs for two hours and six minutes.

Backrooms opened in theaters on May 29. It brought in more than $81 million at the domestic box office in its opening weekend. This made it the biggest debut in history for an original horror film, as well as the biggest debut for a first-time filmmaker on a nonfranchise film. He was 20 years old at the time, making Parsons the youngest director to have a #1 film at the box office.

The horror film is based on Parsons’ popular YouTube series. It stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve as two people who enter a secret doorway into a maze of seemingly endless rooms.

Werwulf's logline reads, "In 13th-century England, a mysterious creature stalks a foggy countryside as local folklore becomes a terrifying reality for the villagers."

The film is described as Eggers' "most visceral and haunting experience yet" and "a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation, and the devil within," according to its official tagline.

The trailer features haunting imagery of a young boy going through a ceremony that leads to a transformation.

"Do not dread the darkness. Embrace it," the young boy is told.

Later, when the young boy has grown into Taylor-Johnson, we see Dafoe's character speak to him and his family.

"I've heard of a raving beast that ravished this country," he says. Taylor-Johnson's wife, played by Depp, then says, "Keep my husband safe," as she spreads blood atop his forehead.

Deborah Roberts celebrates America's greatest stories on new Disney special

Artwork for 'Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness' (ABC News Studios)

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, 20/20 co-anchor Deborah Roberts and ABC News national correspondent Will Reeve are celebrating the occasion by highlighting some of the nation's greatest stories, triumphs and innovations in Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness.

Roberts says the special arrives at a time when many Americans are experiencing "so many complicated emotions" about the country.

"We had a chance to think about where this country has been, the diversity of this country, the inventiveness of this country, the difficulties that people have faced in this country so we sort of use that as a backdrop but to highlight so many things about our country," she tells ABC Audio, mentioning her coverage of the Savannah Bananas, Pan Am flight attendants and more.

She notes the country has a lot to celebrate and reflect on, highlighting it's beauty, uniqueness and resilience.

"This is a country that has not only been through a lot, we've been built through love and sweat and tears and sacrifice, but there's also a lot to look at and to stand in wonder of," Roberts says. "There are a lot of moments that are worth celebrating and also moments that are worth...contemplating and wondering...how we might be better and stronger as a country."

Ultimately, Roberts hopes the special gives viewers a sense of joy.

"There are a lot of people who might be a little conflicted right now because of the politics in this country about how they feel about celebrating," she says. "I hope people will take away a real feeling of depth and of heart and exploration from this special and also too, of course, just some fun."

Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streams next day on Disney+ and Hulu, with Roberts hosting from Walt Disney World Resort and Reeve from Disneyland.

Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour have said goodbye to Hawkins, but they aren't saying goodbye to working together.

The Stranger Things co-stars are teaming up for a brand-new Netflix series.

Brown and Harbour are set to star in and executive produce an upcoming spy drama show from A24 that has received a straight-to-series order at Netflix. The pair will play father and daughter once again in the new series, which comes from Emmy-winning Adolescence writer Jack Thorne.

The currently untitled thriller follows "disgraced FBI agent turned security expert Matt Wolfe (Harbour)" who "is drawn back into the world he left behind when his estranged daughter, Rebecca (Brown) — now an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps — vanishes on a mission, forcing him to return to a field that has evolved beyond him," according to an official description from the streamer.

"We are delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with before,” Jinny Howe, the Netflix head of scripted series in US and Canada, said. “Jack Thorne’s ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunite — this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis — is something audiences are going to love. A24 is the perfect partner to bring this story to our members around the world.”

'The Bear' stars talk final season: 'There's more struggle, there's more urgency'

Jeremy Allen White as Carmy in 'The Bear.' (FX)

The Bear is taking its last reservations.

All eight episodes of the Emmy-winning drama's fifth and final season are now streaming on Hulu. The season takes place over the course of one day in the titular Chicago restaurant, where everything that could possibly go wrong does — and then some. Adding to the pressure is the threat of imminent closure by The Bear's chief investor, Olivier Platt's Uncle Jimmy.

"I think it makes so much sense for everybody to throw themselves into this last service, to be existing with these characters in real time. ... It amps everything up, you know?" Jeremy Allen White, who plays Carmy Berzatto, told ABC Audio.

"There's more struggle, there's more urgency, time is important, stakes rise, and so yeah, I thought structuring the last season this way was just a great, great idea, and ended up being really effective."

The season also picks up right after Carmy's season 4 finale decision to leave The Bear in the hands of Sydney, Natalie and Richie. That means Ayo Edebiri [EYE-oh eh-deh-BEE-ree]'s Sydney finds herself in charge in the most stressful of circumstances, before finally breaking down.

"It's a lot to get to do inside and have it build," she told ABC Audio. "And so when it does come out in those physical moments, that's always really fun for me. I feel like my body is, like, Laffy Taffy."

As for Ebon [EH-ben] Moss-Bachrach's front-of-house manager Richie, he refuses to give up and goes overboard in trying to motivate the staff to keep going.

"It is a very aggressive optimism, maybe, I would say," he laughs. "It feels nice to play someone who has that generosity, who wants to take care of everyone."

Somebody once told me Donkey is getting his own movie.

DreamWorks Animation has officially announced that a Shrek spinoff film centered on the character of Donkey is headed to movie theaters. It will arrive on big screens on June 30, 2028.

The studio announced the news on Instagram Thursday.

"Start heating up those waffle irons. DONKEY is setting out on his very own adventure June 30, 2028," the post's caption reads.

The new movie will be an origin story following how Donkey came to be, according to Deadline, which broke the story. Eddie Murphy will once again voice the animated talking animal.

The Lego Batman Movie's Charlie Bean is set to direct Donkey, while Matt Flynn will co-direct. Rebecca Huntley will produce it.

Murphy previously spoke about this upcoming Donkey spinoff in an interview with Screen Rant in July 2025.

"We’re doing a Donkey one, and that’ll [be released] three years from now," Murphy said at the time. “Donkey‘s going to be like how Puss in Boots had his own movie, Donkey’s going to have his own movie — [his] own little story with his dragon wife and his kids that are half-dragon and half-donkeys. They’ve written this funny story."

A fifth Shrek film is set to release in theaters a year ahead of the Donkey movie on June 30, 2027.

DreamWorks previously made two other Shrek spinoff films. Puss in Boots was released in 2011, while its sequel, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, debuted in 2022.
